Wylie Walno has been the owner/operator of Vigilant Business Solutions (VBS) for one year, providing workplace drug testing and background check services for both Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT employers, municipalities, businesses and schools in all of South Dakota. Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, Wylie was raised on a cattle ranch on the Colorado/Wyoming border. He joined the Wyoming Air National Guard security forces following high school graduation and completed his 26 vear prestigious career as a C130 pilot retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Most recently, he worked as an Air Ambulance Pilot for Sanford Health. Wylie has always had a passion for helping people, and with the current state of drug and alcohol addiction and its effect on the workplace, he felt providing drug testing services would assist with compliance and workplace safety issues, especially in high-risk/safety sensitive jobs that involve operating heavy equipment, driving, construction and contact with the vulnerable such as children and the elderly.
